Admission Procedures & Policies

GENERAL GUIDELINES ON ENROLLMENT
FOR NEW STUDENTS

ELIGIBILITY

  • Age Requirement by August
    • Nursey applicants must be at least 3 years old
    • Junior Prep applicants must be at least 4 years old
    • Senior Prep applicants must be at least 5 years old
    • Grade 1 applicant must be at least 6 years old

        AGE REQUIREMENT

        • Age Requirement with age extension until October 31, 2022
        • Junior Prep – Must be at least 4 years old by August 1, 2022
        • Senior Prep – Must be at least 5 years old by August 1, 2022
        • Grade 1 – Must be at least 6 years old by August 1, 2022

        ELIGIBILITY

        • Government Subsidy (ESC/SHSVP)
        • ATHENEUM is authorized by the DepEd to recommend incoming GRADE 7 students from the public and private schools for financial assistance under the Education Service Contracting (ESC) program of DepEd. A qualified student grantee is entitled to ₱9,000 per year for a period of four (4) years.
        • Incoming GRADE 11 students from public and private schools are also entitled for financial assistance under the Senior High School Voucher Program (SHSVP) of DepEd. A qualified student grantee is entitled to ₱17,500 (students from public schools) or ₱14,000 (students from private schools) per year for a period of two (2) years.

        APPLICATION PROCEDURE

        1. Accomplishment of Requirements
        • Application Form*
        • One (1) 2x2 size photo in color with white background
        • Copy of current/latest Learner's Progress Report Card (F138/SF9)
        • PSA original copy of birth certificate
        • Two (2) Recommendation Forms*
          Note: Recommendation Form must be accomplished by the Principal/Guidance Counselor and Class Adviser who can provide a fairly objective assessment of your child's capabilities and disposition.
        • Certificate of Good Moral Character issued by the Principal or School Head
        • Data Privacy Policy Consent Form*
        • Letter of Consent for Face-to-Face (F2F) Classes*
        • If the applicant has dual citizenship, prepare a scanned copy of his Philippine passport or Certificate of Recognition as a Filipino Citizen.
        • Additional Requirements:
        • Filipinos with dual citizenship (born in the Philippines or abroad) – Valid and Unexpired Passport, Documentation for Acquisition/Reacquisition/ Retention of Filipino citizenship, Certificate of Recognition as a Filipino Citizen, or Affidavit of Dual Citizenship (if applicable)
        • Non-Filipinos (born in the Philippines or abroad) – Valid and Unexpired Passport, Alien Certificate of Registration, Special Study Permit issued by the Bureau of Immigration
        • For onsite submission, simply print, accomplish, and submit all required documents to the school registrar or request copies of Application Form, Data Privacy Policy Consent Form, and Consent Form for F2F Classes from the office.
        2. Payment
        • Pay the non-refundable/non-transferable ₱300.00 (Elementary and High School) and $10 (for aliens) Admission Processing Fee.

        • Scanned copy of the applicant’s progress report card
        • Scanned copies of filled-out recommendation forms
        • Digital image of applicant’s most recent 2x2 picture in color with white background
        • Scanned copy of applicant’s birth certificate (PSA copy)
        • Duly accomplished, signed and scanned Data Privacy Policy Consent Form
        • If the applicant has dual citizenship, prepare a scanned copy of his Philippine passport or Certificate of Recognition as a Filipino Citizen

        • For onsite submission, simply print, accomplish, and submit all required documents to the school registrar or request printed copies of the Application Form, Data Privacy Policy Consent Form, and Consent Form for F2F Classes from the office.
        4. Verification
        • Please wait for a confirmation email within a week upon application. The email will also contain a schedule for an interview.
        5. Assessment and Interview
        • Applicants will be scheduled for an assessment test and interview. The assessment test is used to evaluate the student's abilities, potential, and suitability for the school's curriculum. The purpose of the interview is to understand the student's strengths, weaknesses, interests, and any additional support they may require.
        • The assessment and interview will be conducted onsite or in the school. An applicant is given one (1) hour to accomplish the entrance test. Afterward, a face-to-face interview will follow which lasts for 10-20 minutes only.
        6. Enrollment
        • After the review of the application and completion of the assessment and interview, the admission committee will make a decision regarding the applicant.
        • The school registrar will communicate the admission decision to the parents or guardians through email or phone call. The communication will also include any further steps required to complete the enrollment process.
        • If an admission offer is extended, parents or guardians will be required to complete the enrollment process within a specified timeframe.

        TUITION AND OTHER FEES

        • Tuition and other fees prescribed by the school are approved by the Department of Education (DepEd).  The Accounting Office posts all itemized fees on designated bulletin boards during the enrollment period. All fees are payable upon registration and are paid at the Accounting Office.  
        • Fees may be paid in full or under an installment plan, the detailed schedule of which is made available at the Accounting Office. All fees must be paid according to the chosen payment scheme, whether or not the student completes his studies during the academic year.  Enrolment is for the whole academic year. Hence, a student is considered enrolled for the whole year upon enrolment.  Fees paid in full or under the installment plan are not refundable, except in specified cases where an official clearance will be required.   
        • Miscellaneous fees include Registration, Medical, Guidance, School Publications, Library, Student Activities, Audio-Visual, Sports Development, Testing Materials, and Laboratory Fees.
        • Specific Fees include Books/E-Books, RFID, School Uniform, PE Uniform, Foundation Shirt, IT, Aircon, Student Insurance, Class Pictures, Retreat/Recollection, Field Trips, FS Night, Prom/Ball, etc.
        • The other specific fees to be collected from graduating students include Graduation Pictures, Yearbook, Graduation and Alumni Fees.

        IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

        • Ensure completion of requirements; incomplete applications will not be processed.
        • Verification of your data and documents shall be conducted following your submission and payment of Admission Processing Fee. A confirmation email shall be sent to your registered email address.
        • Please keep all original hardcopies of the documentary requirements. These must be submitted during confirmation of enrollment, via courier or personally, if the situation permits.
        • Any false information and/or fraudulent document given through email will automatically nullify the application and permanently disbar the applicant from pursuing any level of study at the ATHENEUM.
