Senior High School

          ATHENEUM is certified by the Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC) for Education Service Contracting (ESC). It also accepts students who are recipients of the Senior High School Voucher Program.

A. Curriculum

          The Senior High School Curriculum is anchored on ATHENEUM’s mission to provide quality education that adapts even to the challenges brought upon by the pandemic. A curriculum review was conducted to determine the content to be taught this school year. Subjects apart from the ones required by the Department of Education such as Social Networking and Multimedia Systems Parts 1 and 2 have been included to better equip the learners with Information Technology skills.

The Senior High School Offers:

          The Academic Track consists of four strands, namely:

  • Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Strand (STEM).
  • Accountancy, Business and Management Strand (ABM)
  • Humanities and Social Science Strand (HUMSS)

C. ACADEMIC FEATURES & SPECIAL PROGRAMS

SPECIAL LESSONS

           Special lessons in the form of webinars and workshops, a monthly online academic enrichment is provided to the students. For this activity, relevant topics are discussed by invited resource persons, alumni, and partner program providers.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP

The Senior High students are trained how to prepare a business plan and maintain a small-scale business in preparation for employment and entrepreneurship as one of the alternative exits of the K-12 Basic Education Curriculum.

SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL CAREER DAY

Field Professionals and Experts aligned with the different academic strands are invited to give an orientation about different career paths for students to be more guided in choosing higher education courses, job opportunities, and livelihood after high school.

D. Class Hours and Consultation Period

          Attendance shall be checked during the synchronous class periods (Grades 11 and 12- 7:30 am – 4:00 pm). The asynchronous period is allotted for self-paced learning. The consultation hours for all subjects are included in the schedule from Monday-Friday.
