Student Activities and Orgranizations
Various co-curricular activities that are vital in delivering holistic formation and in cultivating servant-leadership like the opportunity to be a class officer, to be part of student committees, or sports-related student-led projects will remain available every school year.
Student group activities will be available onsite to plan for projects that will promote the further formation and growth of students. ATHENEUM moves to become flexible and to continue reaching out to the student population either through online or onsite initiatives.
Homeroom Class Officers
The election of homeroom officers was effective in realizing how vital the role of student leaders in assisting their homeroom advisers and subject teachers and serving as role models for their classmates, ATHENEUM will continue the election of homeroom officers for Grades 4-12.
Class positions now include: President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Auditor, Business Manager, Public Information Officer (PIO), and Peace Officers, respectively. Class officers are elected to positions of responsibility in class. The officers assist the teachers in class management and government. The teacher grants them authority, so they are to be obeyed when they act within that authority.
Assembly of Class Presidents (ACP)
The ACP is composed of student leaders – class presidents of all grade level sections. In the absence of a student government, this serves as the highest governing body of the studentry.
Every year, the ACP will prepare school projects while making sure that its online presence is still felt by the students. It will continue to disseminate relevant and useful information and organize projects and activities that are aligned with the school’s vision-mission and brings out the talents and skills of the students. Please follow all of its upcoming activities on its I AM, I CAN Facebook page.
